Reading Age Calculator App (macOS)

It's always a good idea to make sure that the reading age of your writing matches the reading ability of your readers. This app calculates the reading age of a passage of approximately 100 words, as well as listing the:

• average sentence length,
• number of words,
• number of sentences,
• number of long words and
• an approximate AI score.

Installation

• Double-click the .zip file in the Download folder to extract it.
• Drag the .app file into the Applications folder.
• Go to the Applications folder.
• Double-click the app.
• When the app has passed Apple's malware checks, the following notification will be displayed:
  
  “ReadingAge.app” is an app downloaded from the internet. Are you sure you want to open it?
• Click 'Open'.
